Once you decide what changes you want to make to improve your organization's capability, we can show you what must be done to successfully lead those changes in your organization. Our method is based on over two decades of observing how software and information technology (IT) organizations change. We help you produce the necessary improvement planning and follow-through required to implement changes in a sustainable way.

What you may notice in a product or service organization:
  • Your management has selected an area(s) in which to improve their capability but is unsure how to make the transition and sustain the capability for the long term.
  • Your management announced the improvement they expected to achieve but the effort never got off the ground or floundered after takeoff.
  • Your management started the transition but encountered strong resistance and is not sure how to proceed successfully.
  • Your management found the technical aspects of the transition far easier than the people issues associated with the change. You may hear this expressed as the technical staff blaming the managers for instituting the change or the managers blaming the technical staff because the staff seems unwilling to change.

We Offer Making Capability Improvements

Our Expertise:

We each have years of experience practicing and studying how organizations and individuals change. We have distilled our experience and wisdom into a practical approach. The approach is grounded in business needs and connects directly with the people who will make the changes a reality. We use the patterns of success we've discovered through the years to help our clients clarify the current state, plan wisely and realistically, manage the implementation persistently, and use feedback mechanisms to keep efforts focused on ultimate success.

Overview: We work closely with your management to develop a transition plan that makes sense for your organization. This kind of planning requires more than training of new technical skills. This planning work requires the ability to understand your organization's current situation, plan actions to move the staff beyond the current practices, actions to anticipate and deal with resistance, and infrastructure changes required to sustain the change. We provide on-going support and guidance for your management and the staff while they undergo the transition, including coaching, dealing with perceived loss, understanding how change happens, managing frustrations, making course corrections and recognizing progress.
