Here are some ways we make our knowledge and expertise available to you.
Consulting: We work closely with you to understand your current situation and desired outcomes, provide options and recommendations, and follow up with implementation support and coaching as appropriate. For some services, we will train selected members of your staff using our Shadow Method of on-the-job training. Your staff learn by first shadowing us while we do the work, then gradually taking on more of the work while we observe and coach them. When we and they feel confident, they do all the work themselves while we just observe. That is the final phase. Distance Consulting: Consulting and coaching by telephone and email is available for some types of situations. For example, a project manager may want to contract with us for specific number of telephone consultations, perhaps daily or weekly, during a critical phase of the project. Workshops and Seminars: Ask about customizing our listed workshops and seminars to fit your needs. We can make suggestions based on your objectives. For example we may be able to scale a workshop to fit your time constraints. We can design a new workshop and/or tailor an existing workshop to your specific needs. Public Speaking: Eileen is available for speaking engagements related to the management and development of information technology organizations. Her speaking style covers a range from formal and traditional to innovative and unconventional ways of communicating her message. She once asked a general manager to play the role of a 20 year old policy system in a kind of This Is Your Life stage presentation of the life of that system. By the time she finished, she had used Monopoly houses, neon post-its, battery cables, and handcuffs as props. Wayne is available for speaking engagements on a variety of topics related to being human and competent at the same time. His vision is that one day individuals will be valued as much for their emotional and spiritual competence as for their technical competence. He truly believes that in such a work environment quality and productivity will soar. One of his favorite topics is how individuals become ready for change and how that process shapes organizational change. His speaking style is relaxed, informal, and he almost always finds a way to involve the audience in an exercise or two. Leaders’ Forum: Leaders’ Forum is a small, unique learning community where you can share, learn, and grow with a select group of leaders. These leaders come from a variety of companies and industries around the country. The thing they all have in common is that they in some way influence the process of producing software or systems. Attendance at Leaders’ Forum is by invitation only with a maximum of twelve participants. More information. MiddleHaven: Are you struggling with some important issues? Feeling overloaded? Weighted down? Off balance? MiddleHaven may be just what you need. MiddleHaven has been referred as "a safe house for information technology folks." Private and confidential consultations are available with either of us. We also offer small group consultations. Special evening fireside chats are offered on selected topics. More information is available. |
